Graduation ceremony conducted for surgical technology graduates

A graduation ceremony for students who completed East Mississippi Community College’s Surgical Technology program took place Thursday, Dec. 7, at The Communiversity at EMCC.

The students were awarded an Associate of

Applied Science degree in the program that prepared them to serve as members of a surgical team.

EMCC President Dr. Scott Alsobrooks provided the welcome and charge to the graduates. Baptist Student Union Director Nick Smith provided the invocation and words of encouragement to the students. Director of Nursing Programs and Associate Dean of Health Sciences Jamonicia Johnson presented the graduates.

Surgical Technology Program Director Wesley Frost and instructor Crystal McMillian assisted with the event.
