Raiders pick up road victory

GRENADA – The Oak Hill Academy Raiders broke a three-game losing streak on Friday night by picking up a 42-21 road win against Kirk Academy.

The Raiders improved their record to 2-4 with four games to go in the regular season.

Oak Hill was able to take a 14-7 lead after the first quarter and the game remained a one possession game with a halftime score of 21-14.

The Raiders scored two more touchdowns in the third quarter and expanded the margin to 35-14.

The two teams traded touchdowns in the fourth quarter, but Oak Hill had done enough damage through the first three quarters to escape Grenada with a victory.

The Raiders will host the first of two-straight game in West Point against North Delta Academy next Friday.
